girl and boy at childcareFinding things for the children to do whilst you are working can be a real chore. In a bid to try and make things slightly easier for you, here is a summary of holiday children that is usually on offer in and around Lymington.

Start planning your summer now - you will generally find that activity days get booked up well in advance.

Activity days near Lymington for children

New Forest Activities hold Adventure Days for children aged 8-14 years. The day includes learning bushcraft skills such as foraging and shelter building, plus archery and the ropes course. Click here for Adventure Days during the summer holidays, including Tuesday 24th July, Thursday 2nd, Tuesday 7th, Thursday 16th, Tuesday 21st and Thursday 30th August. Can’t make these dates? For 1-3 children get in touch to register your interest in another date. If you already have 4 or more, call now to organise!

Durlston Court Prep School in New Milton will be running Summer Holiday Activity Days from 16th July to 17th August for children in year R to year 8 - all children welcome, not just Durlston families!

Ballard School in New Milton have a variety of courses for children during 4 weeks of the holidays, including dance, drama, sports, bikeability, nature, art... take a look at what is available in weeks 1 and 2 (23 July - 3 August), and in weeks 3 and 4 (20 - 31 August).

Priestlands have music and art activity sessions on Tuesday 24 - Thursday 26 July.

Lymington Tennis Club are running holiday tennis days and half days during six weeks of the summer holidays, Monday to Friday. Mornings 8.30am - midday. Afternoons midday - 4pm. Full days 8.30am - 4pm. Book online (Lymington Tennis Club members get 10% discount) 

Calshot Activities Centre have a range of Activity Days for most school holidays - choose from skiing, snowboarding, track cycling, canoeing, archery, climbing, skiing and windsurfing - and much more! 

The Tile Barn Centre in Brockenhurst have action adventure days on Tuesdays and Thursdays in August for children aged 6-12 years.

Hengistbury Outdoor Centre have a range of multi-activity days and watersports courses available during most school holidays.

Avon Tyrrell have fun days and half-days for children aged 5+ during most school holidays.
