Wednesday 29 July at the Coates Centre at Oakhaven Hospice, Lymington:   10am to 2pm

Have you ever considered ‘giving something back’? Do you have some free time and would like to help your local community? Your local hospice, Oakhaven, is currently recruiting Volunteers and has opportunities for people of all ages to work in a variety of settings.

Gardening, driving, admin, maintenance, all sorts!

These range from helping in the hospice greeting visitors to gardening, driving, administration, maintenance, helping in our shops and at fundraising events and numerous others. Every hour you can spare would be valued and appreciated in whatever area you chose to volunteer.

Volunteers make an enormous difference

“Our Volunteers are very special people” said Clare Celea Oakhaven’s Volunteer Services Coordinator. “They make a huge contribution to the smooth running of our hospice services and without them our job here would be much more difficult both logistically and financially. We are a big happy family at Oakhaven but we do need more help to ensure we maintain the quality and consistency of the many and varied services we provide our local community”.

Information about Oakhaven Hospice Lymington

Oakhaven Hospice supports not only at the Hospice but also out in the community. Our services are always free of charge.

We support over 180 patients weekly both in the hospice and out in the community through a mix of our services which include Day Hospice, Oakhaven at Home, Community Nursing, Bereavement Counselling and our In-Patient Unit.

It costs in excess of £3 million per annum to run our services for which we receive just 12% NHS funding, for the remainder we are wholly reliant on donations and our own fundraising initiatives.
