Household Cavalry Mounted Display at New Forest Show 28-30 July 2015

The New Forest Show is nearly upon us: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday this week (28-30 July) at New Park Brockenhurst.

This year's Show promises some spectacular entertainment for all with something new for those who go to the Show regularly and something special for those who maybe haven't been for a few years thinking it's always the same.

This is a very special display of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, who'll be performing twice a day on each of the three days:  lunchtime/early evening,  and late afternoon/evening (slightly different times each day).

Join the Adventure at this year's New Forest Show:

The theme of the New Forest Show this year is “join the adventure” for young and old alike from cob wall making workshops, fly fishing tuition, cookery classes and lots of sporting activities. For the adventurous try scaling an 80 foot climbing wall, or get a taste of what it's like to go water zorbing.

From what we saw at the Show introduction day last week, building a cob wall  looks really fascinating yet also quite straightforward.  It could be a useful skill  for those lucky enough to have a plot of land available.    Hard work but maybe worth it, to have the chance to build a home on a small budget.

Other Attractions at the Show

All the usual attractions will be on show at the Show this year too.  These include old favourite the Heavy Horse Musical Drive - always a fabulous sight and sound.  There's also the Dexter Cattle National Show with over 100 entries plus many other agricultural animal classes.  The Flower Show will be breathtakingly beautiful as always.  There are cookery demonstrations in the Food and Farming area and vintage farm machines in the Old Time Farming Display.  Seek out the the Forestry Commission area with so much to learn about the New Forest - and this area also includes the welcomely calm picnic site.  Plus so much locally grown produce, lovingly transformed into delicious or aromatic products under the  New Forest Marque.

That’s before even mentioning all the usual classes for donkeys, ponies and horses, the always popular pony club mounted games, and the really high quality show jumping events.

There's Free Parking as usual at the New Forest Show.
