9th Lymington Sea Scout Group provides scouting for Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers in the Lymington area of the New Forest, Hampshire. First established in 1921 by Mr Robert Hole, today there are 65 young people. All have the opportunity to take part in a wide range of challenging activities, supported by a dedicated team of leaders, all volunteers. Out of the 450 Sea Scout Groups only 103 are Royal Navy Recognised of which 9th Lymington is proud to be one. In order to maintain this recognition we are reviewed on a regular basis by a serving Royal Navy Officer. On our most recent inspection we were commended as 'First Class with young people being excellent ambassadors for the RN and fully deserving RN Recognition'. This allows us to fly the Red Ensign with the Crown and Anchor which is also worn on our uniforms.
