    Crowds lined Lymington's streets to cheer the Carnival floats in glorious sunshine

    Carnival fever hit Lymington on Sunday 15 July 2018! The theme for this year's procession was TV Shows and the effort made by all participants was thoroughly appreciated by the cheering crowds. Despite being another very hot day, the procession was full of smiles and laughter (and a few weary brows by the time they had completed their lap of the town!

From Friday 30th March - Sunday 15th April we're inviting all our visitors to become nature detectives and explore the wonders of the natural world on our bird-themed Easter trail.

Go on a nature hunt for natural treasure in the Beaulieu grounds, collect all the clues and complete the trail to pick up your nature detective bug prize. Look out for amazing tree carvings as you go, can you find the tree-top griffin, the magnificent green man or the many-headed serpent? If you tiptoe quietly down the Mill Pond Walk you might be able to spot the homes of the woodland fairies

If you get stuck the nature detective will be on hand to give you some clues, make sure you wave as he drives by in his Willys jeep!

Head down to Palace House to join Lord Montagu's cook in the victorian kitchen and help her create bird shapes out of dough and join in with bird-making and colouring crafts. Plus go incognito with our free nature-themed face painting. Running 11am - 4pm daily.

Find out about the ancient art of falconry in the brand new Abbot's Mews display. You might even be lucky enough to meet Lord Montagu's falconer!

Feeling peckish? Fly over to the Brabazon Restaurant to tuck into seasonal Easter treats. Have a go at the 'Guess the number of eggs' competition for a chance to win a jar of chocolate eggs.

Plus... Even more activities over the Easter Weekend! Visit us between Friday 30th March - Monday 2nd April to take part in the golden egg-hunt competition, crack the cipher code for a chance to win a New Forest luxury hotel stay.
