Colten Care New Forest care homes clap for carers

The cared for clap for the carers!

Residents of Colten Care homes in the New Forest in a lovely video clapping for all the carers

Colten Care home residents clap for carersFacing unprecedented times along with us all, Colten Care have a very special responsibility to take care of all their residents in their 21 homes in the New Forest and across the south of England in Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Sussex. And whilst relatives must not visit their loved ones, informative communications which can reassure husbands, wives, children and grandchildren are more vital than ever.

Colten Care’s 21 care homes join together to clap for the carers

So, the staff at all 21 Colten Care homes helped the residents in each home to mount a ‘clap for the carers’, to show their appreciation of the amazing work done every single day by their own carers and indeed all carers and all key workers.

Footage from all the homes has been merged into this short film posted on YouTube which you can view below.

We thought it would be lovely to share this, just in time for this week's 8pm Clap for our Carers around the nation.

Health warning - this is quite emotional.

Mark Aitchison, Colten Care Chief Executive, said: “A big thank you to all those residents and team members who took part. The film has really captured the fantastic spirit across the homes and shows heartfelt sentiment.”
