Belmore Lodge trio celebrate 30 years’ residence between them

Maureen Marks, Margaret Stancliffe and Jim Giles were the guests of honour at a joint anniversary party at Colten Care’s Belmore Lodge in Lymington. All three have been living in comfortable retirement there for ten years

Staff helped the trio celebrate with a luxurious afternoon tea in the garden featuring a homemade sponge cake, finger sandwiches, scones, jam and clotted cream, all specially prepared by Belmore Lodge chef Oliver Bloxham.

Companionship team members at the home then presented the three with personal gifts to mark the occasion.

Maureen received a pair of earrings to add to her jewellery collection, Margaret was given a framed picture of a cat and Jim welcomed a boxed bottle of his favourite whisky.

From clinical care to companionship, everything is centred around the individual resident

Companionship Team Leader Sharon Semple said: “It was a great privilege to help Maureen, Margaret and Jim celebrate their tenth anniversaries with us.

“Everything we do at Belmore Lodge is centred around the individual resident, from clinical care to companionship.

“It’s all about providing the highest standards of care every single day so that our residents live well and continue to enjoy the things they love.

“That’s the very heart of our approach to care and it’s what we have tried to achieve for Maureen, Margaret and Jim since they moved to Belmore Lodge all those years ago in 2011.”

Highly positive, independent feedback from residents and their families has given Belmore Lodge a score of 9.9 out of ten on the public review site Carehome.co.uk.

Opened in 2003, the Milford Road home features curvy, decorative design and architecture inspired by the arts and crafts movement of Victorian visionary William Morris.
