Housekeeping Supervisor

Working as part of a professional team and reporting into the Head Housekeeper, this role will require someone:

• With a practical and hands on approach
• Who is able to maintain Macdonald Resorts high standards of cleanliness & efficiency
• Who can ensure that all core standards are implemented and adhered to
• Who can train, mentor and oversee a team of Housekeeping Assistants
• Who will play a part in controlling budgets & stock levels
• Who will liaise with their team, trades people, line manager and the guests themselves
• Who will take responsibility for some aspects of health & safety

This role would suit someone with a good solid background in housekeeping who is currently working in a similar position, or someone who wishes to take the next step

Sous Chef 

The Sous Chef is responsible for managing costs in the kitchen, in particular those around food GP and working within manning parameters. Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy kitchen in line with current legislation will also be key.
•Maintain a customer focused culture that supports the values expressed by the company
•Support Head Chef with personnel management to include appraisals and recruitment
•Leadership of the team in the absence of head Chef
•Internal/External customer contact to attain feedback on individual and departmental performance
•Maintaining maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of the kitchen and back of house
•Conduct daily briefings
•Maintain and inspire complete knowledge of food menus and trends
•Deliver the product in like with core standards
•Oversee food stock take in order to ensure efficient cost control
•Comply with department manning budget
•Comply with all food regulations
•To deliver, monitor and record staff training

 

Sous Chef Candidate Requirements

 

• Experience in a similar role
• Eye for detail
• Passion for food
• High standard of personal presentation
• Team player
• Able to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to adapt to different sections in the kitchen
• Ideally hold Rosette experience

Food and Beverage Assistants

We are looking for part time food and beverage assistants to join our team.
Do you have excellent customer service skills, high standards and enjoy working as part of a team?

If the answer is yes then come and be part of our first class team:

• Ensuring all guests receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service. You will ensure that every breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner in the hotel is a pleasurable experience. Whether you're preparing the lounge, carrying out waiting duties or providing room service.
• The role will include setting up and clearing, opening and closing down procedures, carrying out waiting duties, providing room service bill preparation and cash handling - all to exceptional standards.
• You'll have a high standard of customer care skills and be able to work on your own initiative to ensure our guests always receive a memorable dining experience.
• Previous waiting and/or hotel experience along with relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
