MindSenseAbility (MSA) is the shared vision of an Educational Specialist, Sandra Teal, an Occupational Therapist, Ros Urwin and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Dr Fiona Macdiarmid who, together, have many years experience of working with young people with complex needs.

The directors invited families, young people and to celebrate the establishment of their new business. Beck Farm Studios provides therapy and consulting room space and a base for the business.

Visitors were able to view the premises, try out the occupational therapy sensory integration equipment and learn about the Directors’ vision for this new venture.

Families have struggled to get the help they need

In their respective work, Sandy, Ros and Fiona had all found that many young people with a diagnosis of ASD and their families struggled to get the help they needed through fragmented services. MSA tackles this problem by serving as a one stop shop; for young people and their families.

In a presentation to all those who had come to wish the new business well, Sandy, Ros and Fiona explained how their aim was to combine their expertise to guide individuals through the journey of assessment and intervention from start to finish.

Working together MSA provide the full range of therapeutic and educational approaches needed to help a young person move forward – back into education and to be able to participate in everyday life.

MindSenseAbility is based at Beck Farm, Sowley, near Lymington.  For more information visit the MindSenseAbility Website
