New facilities for Shorefield Country Park in Milford on Sea

A home from home close to the sea in the New Forest

New for Shorefield Country Park in Milford on Sea: Beachcomber and Jubilee Gardens

Shorefield Beachcomber Complex

Shorefield Holidays comprises nine holiday parks across Dorset and the New Forest, each with their individual character and facilities, appealing to varying markets and demographics. Launched in 1958 by Dr Robert Pollock and still a family-run business, Shorefield welcomes more than 200,000 visitors each year and is one of the largest travel and hospitality employers in the region. Accommodation varies across each park, from fully-equipped luxury hot tub lodges and modern holiday caravans to touring and camping pitches under the stars. All parks are pet-friendly.

Shorefield in Milford on Sea has just opened two brand new facilities: The Beachcomber and Jubilee Gardens.

The Beachcomber is a family-oriented complex including a new 750-seat restaurant, relaxed bar area and an entertainment room which will be open to holiday makers, owners and members for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The design was inspired by a ‘forest meets the sea’ concept, featuring serene greens and blues.

As well as an open pass for the kitchen where diners can see locally-sourced ingredients being crafted into new menu dishes, one side of the development has an open view of the new Downton area of the park for guests to enjoy. Pet owners can bring their furry friends to Pooch Corner, with a dog-friendly section of the restaurant as well as a dedicated dog menu serving special breakfast, lunch and dessert items.

The Beachcomber includes a large show bar called The Landing Stage Live Lounge, where guests and members can enjoy family entertainment and some of the UK’s finest cabaret and live music acts. The restaurant will offer table service and the team will have the support of two robots to help deliver food and clear plates.

Shorefield has also opened an exclusive new luxury lodge ownership development of two to three bedroom lodges, each with a double parking space and an EV charging point. Electronic gated access to the development offers privacy, all just a short walk from the beach at Milford on Sea.

The “home from home” lodges in Jubilee Gardens include all furnishings with integrated kitchen appliances and south facing private decking. Owners can also choose to personalise their plot with add ons, such as pergolas and smart outdoor kitchens for alfresco dining.

Simon Pollock, Managing Director said: “Shorefield is continually investing in new facilities, upgrading and expanding our parks to offer our guests and owners memorable and relaxing breaks. We are keen for our growth also to benefit local businesses, boost employment opportunities, and continue to be a supportive charitable partner for a range of causes close to our heart.”
