Nick Thompson going for gold in Rio

With all the excitement over gymnastics, swimming, cycling, rowing and the rest in Rio we’re not getting to see much of the live sailing but the RYA are sending daily update bulletins, this is a link to yesterday’s which is still current for Nick because the Lasers had a rest day yesterday. With a second and a first on the third day he’s strongly in contention – come on Nick!

Meanwhile Hannah gets Gold in Weymouth

Hannah Snellgrove from Lymington has won the Laser Radial National Championships at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy - with a day still to go.  By a country mile" isn't the right expression for the water but you get the picture!

Most recently Hannah, previously a contender for the Olympics herself, has been coaching the young sailors at Lymington, and she graciously acknowledges the time spent on the water with them as well as the chocolate buttons they share, have been a factor in her success this week!
