The Silver Hind is already well known to the fortunate residents of Sway as a popular dog and family friendly freehold village inn in the centre of this lovely New Forest village.
Priding itself on serving daily a wide ranging "bistro" menu of freshly prepared food it also offers a selection of "gastro" specials. As you'd expect there's also an excellent selection of wines and a great variety of real ales.
We also have a lovely big space for group dining and we're now taking bookings for Christmas Parties starting from 15 November, see 2 and 3 course menu options below and just to note that groups of 8 people will be asked to provide a £10 deposit per person.

The Silver Hind offers a discount card which applies here and also at "sister" New Forest pub the Turfcutters Arms; 10% discount on everything. You just need to agree to receive email newsletters with news of events and offers - not too much of a hardship! The Platinum Card then gives you 10% off every time you visit.
The Silver Hind recognises that many people prefer a lighter lunch and from the Daily Specials and the Light Bites menus you should find a dish to suit. And of course your Platinum card can be used to obtain a 10% discount.
Please see also Lymington.com's recent review of lunch at the Silver Hind here.
Coffee and cake is now available daily and also Cream Teas: homemade scones with Cornish clotted cream.
"Great atmosphere in this friendly family bar restaurant. Wholesome food from a large menu and handsomely presented."
"The Silver Hind is probably the only restaurant we ever feel confident about recommending to friends as it is consistently good."
The Silver Hind is based in Station Road close to the train station, and has for long been regarded by villagers as a community asset.
Saved from the bulldozers in 2018 and given a fresh new look by new owners Garratt ‘Tup’ Wickham, Richard Spargo and Mark Lanning, under the trio's managemet it has rapidly become a favourite destination for diners and pub goers from the village of Sway and far beyond.
Determined to keep the Silver Hind as a village pub after attempts to redevelop the site as housing, former customers Mark, Tup and Richard, the business trio stepped in and bought it. They immediately set about giving it a spruce-up, installing high tables, decorations, carpets and flooring to rejuvenate the bar and eating areas.
“The whole idea was to make this a village pub with high quality food – a gastro village pub, if you like – which offers a very friendly welcome to villagers, visitors and commuters alike and is renowned for its atmosphere and its fresh, locally sourced food,” said Tup.
They also have a dart board (well distanced away from diners!), and TV in the bar for special events, such as a coronation, rugby and cricket tournaments.
