The North Ring is that rather special place on the far side of the main rings, where large trees provide shade as well as the backdrop to the those magnificent heavy horses - with gigantic personalities to match their stature.

A very special yearly event, for a firm rooted in the heart of the New Forest
It’s almost time for one of our favourite dates in the local calendar – the New Forest Show, taking place from the 29th to 31st July. If you’ve driven anywhere near Brockenhurst recently, you’ll have spotted the unmistakable yellow signs popping up along the roads - a sure sign that summer in the Forest is in full swing!
Scott Bailey is delighted to be sponsoring the North Ring once again this year, and if you’re coming to the show, you won’t miss our banners flying proudly all three days! As a firm rooted in the heart of the New Forest for over 70 years, we’re passionate about the community, countryside and traditions that make this part of the world so special - and the New Forest Show brings all those elements together in one wonderful celebration.
Some of us at Scott Bailey have attended the Show personally for decades, making it a special yearly event we all look forward to – and members of the Scott Bailey team will be presenting the show awards for a number of classes again this year, including the Tattersalls RoR Open In-Hand Show Series Qualifier, Rare Breed In-Hand and both Heavy Horse Pairs and Heavy Horse In-Hand.
The New Forest Show was first held in 1920. Now one of the UK’s top agricultural shows, it’s grown into a major event drawing thousands of visitors from across the country, while still keeping its heart firmly in the Forest. From livestock competitions and vintage tractors to dog agility and the Shetland Pony Grand National, the Show manages to stay both traditional and timeless, while looking ahead to the future - something we value highly at Scott Bailey too.
We’re very proud to support an event that brings together local people, businesses and organisations. The sense of community, connection and shared purpose is something we believe is well worth celebrating. We’re also firm supporters of the New Forest Marque, which champions local produce and craftsmanship, and many of its wonderful members will be showcasing their work at the Show too.
