Lymington-based and internationally recognised metal artist Michael Turner was commissioned to design and produce a falcon in honour of the late Tim Hatton OBE, who lived latterly in Colten Care's Breamar Lodge care home. An author, historian and Salisbury Cathedral stalwart has had a unique sculpture unveiled in his honour at the city care home where he spent his final years.

Colten Care homes in the New Forest are preparing to celebrate Valentine’s Day with romantic lunches, parties, live music and community greetings. Belmore Lodge, Court Lodge and Linden House in Lymington, Kingfishers in New Milton and Woodpeckers in Brockenhurst are all getting in the Valentine's spirit with hearts, flowers, bubbly, cards and chocolates and much more!

Kindness is free and makes us feel better too, so why not sprinkle it everywhere! In a "random act of kindness to spread love" on Valentine's Day this week, residents of Colten Care's Court Lodge home in Lymington attached messages with loving words to 60 roses which they then gave to delighted people in Woodside Park. Following their "random acts of kindness" in Woodside Park for Valentine's Day last week and continuing the theme for Random Acts of Kindness Day every February, Colten Care home residents and staff set out to spread more happiness in and around their local communities. Formal invitations to a free cream tea at Woodpeckers in Brockenhurst were handed out along with seed paper hearts, and shortbread freshly made at Kingfishers in New Milton was given out in boxes which included messages of kindness.
