The glamour and glitz of the jazz age were in vogue once again as residents from two New Forest care homes came together to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week. Flapper dresses, sequins, forearm gloves and peacock feather headbands were de rigueur as Roaring Twenties’ glamour sparkled anew at Belmore Lodge in Lymington. Residents there welcomed a visiting party from fellow Colten Care home in the town, Court Lodge, for a lively, stylish afternoon of music, dance and conversation.

Colten Care home Woodpeckers in Brockenhurst will welcome visitors to its lovely gardens on the weekend of 3-4 September; residents have been contributing to the preparations, with gentle gardening activities under the guidance of care companions and gardeners.

Colten Care residents in the New Forest paid their tributes to Queen Elizabeth II with respect and reminiscence.Homes held special get-togethers and prayer services, staged poetry readings, opened books of condolence and created space for reflection.

Colten Care home residents enjoyed a stunning performance from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s (BSO’s) new Artist in Residence, the professional musician Felix Klieser, who plays the French Horn with his feet. Kingfishers in New Milton welcomed guests from Colten’s Court Lodge in Lymington for the special performance.

Residents at Colten Care's Kingfishers home in New Milton celebrated Pat's 100th and raised funds for charities Oakhaven Hospice and PedAll; all Colten Care's New Forest homes took part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Colten Care's Linden House dementia care home in Lymington teamed up with the Saints to enable lifelong football fan Nigel Bendell, a supporter of West Ham, to attend a Premier League match as a birthday surprise  

Happy 100th birthday wishes from the King. Eira Fratson, a resident at Colten Care’s Belmore Lodge in Lymington, was over the moon with her royal greeting from the former Prince of Wales.
