Parking in Lymington

Charges at Lymington's car parks vary slightly depending on which car park you are using.
NFDC Parking Clocks
New Forest District Council (NFDC) parking clocks are available for residents and visitors, for use in NFDC car parks. They offer great value for money and you do not need to worry about having change. Use as often as you like - the more you use them the better the value!
Short Stay Clocks cost £30 (valid 1 January - 31 December 2023) and provide up to 3 hours in town and village short stay car parks. Please note, short stay clocks are not valid in amenity (coastal) car parks.
Long Stay Clocks cost £40 quarterly or £140 for an annual clock (2023) and provide parking for up to 3 hours in short stay town and village car parks, and in a long stay bay for more than 3 hours (up to the individual car parks maximum stay).
Purchase your parking clock with the NFDC online, at the Town Hall in Avenue Road, St Barbe Museum in New Street or at Lymington Health & Leisure.
Refuelling in Lymington
Lymington has two fuel stations, Co-Op at Ampress Park just off the A337 towards Brockenhurst and Shell on Milford Road A337 towards New Milton. There is a fuel station at Hordle, Tesco Fuel in New Milton and Esso in Brockenhurst.

Art and Culture
Lymington is a large hub of the arts, with a number of artists living and working locally
With its enviable location between the coastline and the forest, it is unsurprising that Lymington is a haven for artists, who range in their specialisms from traditional Forest and Solent landscapes to bold, contemporary modern art including fabulous sculptures.
The St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery, housed in Lymington's Old School in New Street, has wide and varied exhibitions throughout the year, whilst the Lymington Centre plays host to a number of different groups associated with the arts, as well as the Malt Cinema. The area benefits from several amateur dramatic groups, including the New Forest Players and the Lymington Players, whose regular productions are a delight!

Visitor Information
Useful information and advice for tourists and visitors to Lymington and the New Forest.
Lymington is a wonderful place to visit! The town is steeped in rich history - from the Iron Age settlement at Buckland Rings to the splendid Georgian High Street whose weekly Charter Market dates back to the 13th century. Once a renowned centre for salt production and shipbuilding, Lymington is nowadays an internationally famous yachting centre with a population of almost 17,500.
Lymington's situation on the edge of the New Forest National Park makes it a great place to stay, enabling you to combine the forest and coastline. The town has something for everyone, including the Lymington Sea Water Baths, the oldest lido in the UK, which is well worth a visit when open during the summer months. The Lymington to Keyhaven nature reserve is a SSSI and provides some excellent walks at all times of year.
Whether you are visiting Lymington by boat or by land, there are many great things to do, places to visit and excellent hotels, pubs and restaurants. Lymington is highly accessible by road, train and ferry from Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.
Leaflets giving information about the area are available from Lymington Town Hall and St Barbe Museum and Art Gallery.
